You are cordially invited to the Union Square Chamber Music Society March Concert, to be held on Saturday, March 9th at the home of Frank Trovato (21 South Stricker Street). The concert will begin at 8:30 pm with a reception to follow.
This month, we are thrilled to welcome the Baltimore String Trio to perform a program which they have recently given around the Baltimore area. This concert will include works by Beethoven, Kreisler, Martinu, Gal, Schulhoff, and Dohnanyi. It’s always a special treat for us to be able to see the dynamic of a group of three fantastic musicians playing beautiful and intricate music like this in such an intimate setting!
The Baltimore String Trio consists of violinist William Herzog, violist Kate Moran, and cellist Jacques-Pierre Malan. We’ve had the pleasure of hearing Jacques-Pierre play several times on the series as a soloist and in a duo, and we’re all the more excited to experience this concert by his recently formed Trio, which is also a part of the Baltimore String Quartet. With his projects, we’ve come to expect performances filled with passion and virtuosity, as well as a deep connection to the music and a striking ability to convey all of its nuances to the audience.
For this concert, we will ask for a contribution of $20 per person/ $10 for students. Hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served at the reception following the concert.
Guests are welcome to BYOB and to invite friends, although all must RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org. Due to limited space, the maximum number of guests will be 50 total. Because of the high number of RSVPs for the last concert, we had to start a waiting list, so please make sure to reserve your spots as soon as possible.
